Benefits of having a remedial massage

Remedial Massage is one of the most effective ways to prevent and treat muscle injuries, pain and soreness.  It locates and repairs damaged areas of the body, with joints becoming more mobile and subtle, allowing the body to be free of pain and discomfort.

Benefits include:

• Relaxation

• Flexibility

• Pain Reduction

• Recovery (training recovery & pre & post event)

• Injury prevention

• Health recovery & improvement (including improved blood circulation)

• Invigoration & increased energy

• Reduced anxiety

Examples of conditions remedial massages can help:

• Whiplash

• Sports Injuries

• Frozen shoulders

• Muscles cramps

• Carpel tunnel

• RSI (repetitive strain injury)

• Falls

• Postural & structural issues (including pregnancy)

How does it work?

Correcting and normalising the body’s muscles and tissues by a combination of deep and superficial hands on massage as well as using myofascial release techniques.  Effective massage tackles the cause of the problem and the symptoms that occur because of it, as well as easing muscular tension.  Chronic pain is addressed by using trigger points that assist with scar tissue breakdown.

Using massage oil and myofacial release tool, the pressure applied differs depending upon the area and problem.

Who would benefit?

If you are someone who has suffered with a long term pain, you do not have to put up with it. There are times when the body is stiff and aching, both of which are more likely to originate in the muscles and tissues. These can be eased with a 60 – 90 minute remedial massage.
